About This Series
The history of Volhynia remains one of the most difficult and emotional chapters in Polish–Ukrainian relations.
This series does not attempt to judge the past or offer simple answers.
Its goal is to present historical events, their context and consequences in a calm, accessible and well-documented form.
Each article is available in Polish, English and Ukrainian.
The series follows the road that led from the collapse of empires after the First World War to the tragic events of 1943 and their legacy in later decades.
History deserves understanding before judgement.
This project is dedicated to that principle.
