🐉🍀 Meet Our New Editors!
Dear Readers
After countless road trips, thousands of photographs, hundreds of cups of coffee, several questionable navigation decisions, and at least a few occasions where we ended up somewhere completely different from where we intended to go…
we came to a simple conclusion:
We needed help.
Not because we ran out of stories.
Quite the opposite.
The stories multiplied faster than sheep in Ireland and rumours in a village pub.
So, after lengthy negotiations, several meetings around a campfire, and one heated argument about whether history should be discussed before or after the first pint, we proudly present our two newest editors.
🐉 The Wawel Dragon
Ireland Correspondent
Yes.
You read that correctly.
A Polish dragon will be writing about Ireland.
After all, who better to understand a land of myths, legends and mysterious ruins than a dragon?
For years he has been wandering the Irish coastline, sitting on cliffs, watching storms roll in, observing tourists getting blown sideways by the wind, and pretending that one more pint of Guinness is “research.”
His areas of expertise include:
🍀 Irish history
🍀 Ancient legends
🍀 Forgotten ruins
🍀 Places most tourists drive straight past
🍀 And pubs where he allegedly stopped “for just one quick drink”
🍀 Mr. Leprechaun
Poland Correspondent
To keep the universe in balance, an Irish leprechaun will be writing about Poland.
Why?
Because he firmly believes Poland is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets.
According to him:
Ireland hides gold.
Poland hides stories.
And both are worth searching for.
Over the years, he has become fascinated by Polish castles, battles, legends, dragons, kings, knights, and the mysterious national tradition of discussing history over food that could feed an entire army.
His areas of expertise include:
🇵🇱 Polish history without the boring bits
🇵🇱 Legends and folklore
🇵🇱 Castles, fortresses and mysteries
🇵🇱 Hidden places ignored by travel brochures
🇵🇱 And every story that begins with:
“You won’t believe what happened here 500 years ago…”
⚠️ A Friendly Warning
Both editors share one important personality trait.
Neither of them likes boredom.
If you’re looking for dry dates, endless facts, and textbook-style lectures…
you may have taken a wrong turn somewhere.
However…
If you enjoy adventures, forgotten places, strange legends, hidden ruins, mysterious standing stones, old castles, winding roads, and the occasional story discovered completely by accident…
then you’re exactly where you belong.
🐉🍀 The Vagabond Rule
Sit down by the fire.
Grab a pint.
The adventure is about to begin.
The Wawel Dragon & Mr. Leprechaun
Officially appointed Editors of Vagabonds of the North Club
Editor’s Note
Neither editor possesses a valid driving licence.
Neither editor can be trusted with a map.
Neither editor agrees on anything.
Yet somehow they always find the most interesting places.
Which, come to think of it…
sounds remarkably similar to the rest of the team.
