Ring of Belfast – Part V
Belfast After Dark – A City That Never Stops Telling Stories
Every journey has an ending.
At least in theory.
Our experience suggests that most journeys simply create new questions, new destinations and new reasons to return.
Belfast was no exception.
From Cave Hill and Belfast Castle to Titanic Quarter, murals, Bangor Marina and Crumlin Road Gaol, this city revealed far more stories than we expected.
Holywood, Helen’s Bay and Bangor offered a quieter side of Northern Ireland.
A place where Belfast slows down and the sea takes over.
Yet as darkness falls, Belfast changes once again.
Historic buildings gain a different character.
Old prisons become more mysterious.
And familiar streets seem to whisper stories from another era.
One of the most memorable places was Crumlin Road Gaol, standing opposite the old courthouse that was once connected by an underground tunnel.
It was here, during one of our earliest visits to Belfast, that we discovered something important.
Perfect photographs are not always necessary.
Sometimes memories are enough.
And Belfast creates plenty of those.
"We came to see Belfast. We left with stories far bigger than the city itself."
